Kurt Dieringer

Mr. Kurt Dieringer served as Vermilion High School’s band director from 2007-2009, following a one-year stint as band director for Zanesville City Schools. He hails from Bowling Green State University where he studied music education, performing among other things as lead trombonist with the Jazz Lab Band for four years and as a three-year member of the Falcon Marching Band. Since 2001, Kurt has been a member of the Air National Guard Band of the Great Lakes based at the 180th Fighter Wing in Toledo, Ohio. In the summer of 2009, he had the privilege of serving with the Air Force rock band “Mojave” on an entertainment tour for American and Coalition Forces in Iraq, Kuwait, and Qatar. He is now apprenticing as an instrument technician for the Muller Pipe Organ Company and resides in Columbus.
