It&#8217;s set in the Oklahoma Territory in the early 1900s and follows the love story of Curly McLain and Laurey Williams amidst the backdrop of a community on the brink of statehood. Here&#8217;s a summary of the plot:<\/p> <p><strong>Act 1:<\/strong><\/p> <p>The musical opens with a cowboy named Curly McLain singing the iconic song &#8220;Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin'&#8221; as he walks through the Oklahoma landscape.
