It&#8217;s set in the Oklahoma Territory in the early 1900s and follows the love story of Curly McLain and Laurey Williams amidst the backdrop of a community on the brink of statehood. Here&#8217;s a summary of the plot:<\/p> <p><strong>Act 1:<\/strong><\/p> <p>The musical opens with a cowboy named Curly McLain singing the iconic song &#8220;Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin'&#8221; as he walks through the Oklahoma landscape. Curly and Jud both bid for Laurey&#8217;s basket, and Curly wins. This leads to a confrontation between Curly and Jud, and the tension escalates.<\/p> <p>Meanwhile, Ado Annie faces a choice between Will and Ali Hakim, and her inability to choose one over the other causes comic chaos.<\/p> <p>As the box social continues, Laurey and Curly finally admit their love for each other, and they become engaged. However, Jud&#8217;s jealousy drives him to confront Curly in the smokehouse, leading to a violent struggle in which Curly emerges victorious.
